When I finally got around to joining Facebook, I almost immediately joined the group The Hardest Part of a Zombie Apocalypse Will be Pretending I'm Not Excited. in which Nick Experiments: Razor Blades: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge
This week's test is the Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge DE Blades. They appear to be the successors to the Gillette Platinum's, which I loved, though Gillette also has a "7 O'Clock Super Stainless" that I'll be testing a few weeks from now. The blades come 5 to a package, and the packaging consists of a cardboard box with 5 waxpaper-wrapped blades ( Read more... ) -
in which Nick Experiments: Razor Blades: Wilkinson Sword DE Razor Blades
This week's test is the Wilkinson Sword Double Edge Razor Blades. They come in packs of 5 blades, and are packed in the standard plastic clamshell/box with cellophane wrapping and wax-paper individual wraps. in which Nick Reads: Books I've Read Lately
Mostly notable in that this is just what's been in front of me since mid-July or so. I'm in sort of a dry spell - waiting on P. Rothfuss, waiting on G. R. R. Martin, etc.
Jumper - Stephen GouldNever read this as a kid, but it was recommended after that terrible movie. Honestly, the book wasn't bad - fun and a little twee, sure, but not terrible ( Read more... ) -
in which Nick Experiments: Razor Blades: Lord Platinum DE
This week's test is the Lord Platinum Double Edge Razorblade. They come in packs of 5 blades, and are packed in little paper holders that look like envelopes. Within the envelopes they are packed in 2nd piece of waxed paper, which is sort of weird. This week's test is the Feather Double Edge Platinum-Coated Razorblade. They come in packs of 10 blades, packed in waxed paper and in the semi-standard plastic shell wrapped in cellophane. They are made in Japan, and are rumored to be "Ninja sharp". Also worth noting - my buddy Dane tried these out awhile back with the same Merkur assembly and ( Read more... ) -

I picked this up for 1200 XBL points (~$15) last weekend. Beat it in 10 hours or so, and largely cause I was goofing around and taking my time.
