Berlin isn't perfect, but it sure beats LA (except the weather, but that is definitely another story). I should know, I come from LA and have lived in Berlin for 24 years. You do have some fans here, I even read about you in the newspaper here today, which gave me the idea to check your blog. Berlin is a nice cross between a metropolis and a village, and it is much much cheaper to live here than London, for example.
Give it some thought. You're obviously ripe to leave the Evil Empire of George II!
