Yeah, it's sort of sad that female characters these days are defined by how they relate to their love interests. Finding a strong, truly independent female lead is hard. Mostly, though, it's sort of worrying that so many young girls actually look up to characters like Bella Swan as a role model because how will that influence the relationships they have as they grow up? Real men are not Edward Cullen's or Jacob Black's (thank God), so how you base a relationship around the idea of them? Isn't that unfair to real men? And insulting to other women?

I'm content in my thoughts that those girls will forget Twilight very soon. It's a passing fad.

I MEAN I REALLY HOPE THEY DON'T TAKE THAT SHIT SERIOUSLY. Fuck, I still can't wrap my head around the whole stalking thing that I'm seeing everywhere. I....just...how is this viewed as acceptable behavior by anyone?
