What were weetabix thinking? Seriously.. Oatibix do NOT taste like weetabix at all. They suck all the milk up like a sponge so that even if you had it SWIMMING in milk it turns into a solid mush o'crap. Currently I am looking at something to that description stuck to my damned spoon. *shakes fist ( Read more... )

My husband was happy to finally find weetabix here. He keeps trying to convince me that putting honey and enough milk to drown it is an important part of eating it.

Weetabix are lovely!!! Don't get me wrong! and with honey and natural yoghurt it's just so good. And good for you too! Probiotics and necessary roughage! :P
Yummy. I just hate that oaty variety they brought out and I also hate the flakes. Yuck! If you ever find they stop doing them Id be happy to mail a box of them over for him. My pleasure.

Awww thanks for the offer. I'll keep you in mind if our supplier ever figures out he's the only one buying them.

I know I want more than this though.

Sounds as if you are having a pre-mid life crisis. Nothing unusual, i seem to go through the similar every two- three years, and a major re-evaluation every five.

I usually take it as a good sign that i'm evolving- happy to re-think what's important and not sit stagnant like so many around me.

If your path changes, follow it. It will lead you to some amazing places... Don't get caught up in what you think other people will think of your decisions either... quite frankly, they won't care in two weeks, two months, two years, but you will.

I know. I realised the otehr day that my main aim in life has always just to be happy and enjoy what I'm doing.
It's a scary thing to be doing, reevaluating everything... but I want it at the same time.
Thanks for your comment, you have it spot on.

That, my dear, sounds like a fabulous plan you have there- being happy and going what you love.

Remember- stay strong and true to your inner self.

Good luck with it all man.

My cousin graduated from MIT with a dual honors degree in physics and chemistry--and promptly opened a little comic book and alternative-music store. (You can insert the ranting intellectual family here, specifically the ranting intellectual family that had gone broke paying for him to go to the one of the best science schools in the US.)

Some twenty years later, he owns a mini-empire of comic and music stores and he apparently loves his work. He's also the only person in the extended family who's ever made anything past what was needed to pay the bills; in fact he's moderately rich.

Maybe you're just bored. Or maybe this is some inner voice that's smarter than the one that's telling you to stick with what you started with just because you started with it. Take the time to think it through, because it's a lot easier to change paths now than it will be at age 40, when you wake up one day and say "ACK! I can't do this another day." (Which I know because I did that, as did my lord.)

Thanks for your advice.
I really appreciate it. we'll see how the exams go. If I have a degree to 'fall' back on then that's cool.
I really like microbiology but there are aspects this year that bored me to tears. I don't think I found it as interesting or fuffiling as I could have.
