Going through the last two days in more detail, just acause they were FABULOUS.
Feel free to ignore. But *I* want to obsess xP
First off, I had to DRIVE there. And I am not a good driver, and it was POURING. Not like, wah new driver can't manage rain. Like, coming down so hard even the windshield wipers couldn't keep up and I kept hitting huge potholes cause they were hidden by puddles kind of pouring. And Georgette navigated. She's my dad's Father's Day present- a GPS, aka Georgette Percival Schloss. Kat insists it's Percy, but I say it's Percival and of course I'm always right.
So we got there alive and with both us and the car in one piece. And not having gotten lost, which was entirely due to Georgette cause Chris doesn't actually have a sign on the road. This caused my father much stress, especially when he discovered that while I'd been to Chris' house, it was the temporary housing they had while they renovated and I therefore had absolutely no idea what the house looked like either.
Whatevs. We found it. HAH.
Dad hung out and chilled in the living room with me and Chris' entire family for a while, then headed out. He took some of the cake first, though. Chris had his parents get me a chocolate mousse birthday cake (they named it the Elk) cause he knows I love chocolate mousse. Cause he's AWESOME like that. Then Chris, Celine and I vanished into my room- called the Guest Suite cause it's cool like that, but it's just a bedroom and a bathroom- and ate more cake and lemonade while watching the Mexico/Argentina match. Which was, by the way, insanely cool. But we only got to the end of the second half by the time we had to leave for dinner, so we had to abandon overtime to its fate.
Dinner was at this cute Italian restaurant in town, not very far away. But see, problem. First, it turned out to be That Time of Month, and I wasn't feeling all that great. Plus, I had lunch at about 2pm. And then cake. And then they were gonna feed me dinner at 5:30. With the generic bread/butter thing, fried calamari, salad, and a HUGE plate of incredibly rich pasta.
I know I'm underfed, but really...
Cars was right after dinner. Amazing, amazing movie. Luigi and Guido are my two favorites. They are AWESOME. In case anyone is curious, Leigh is the van, Ellen is Flo, Lydia is Sally and Grace is Guido. Chris and I got stuck in the front right of the theater, but we were away from his parents (didn't do much though because-) there were two very cute small people next to us, and we could see just fine. It really is a vastly entertaining movie.
After dinner, we had ice cream. Because I hadn't been fed enough already, of course. Coldstone is fabulous, though, so I got the smallest size of cake batter. Which, by the way, is HUGE for a small size. Chris and I had a competition to see who could eat the fastest. I won, because I am just that cool. And because I had a smaller ice cream than he did milk shake...but whatever. His entire family beat him, so I can feel slightly justified. It's practically the only thing I finished eating all weekend.
Then back to the house. We watched soccer for a while, finishing the overtime and obsessing about the goal Hernandez scored- if you didn't see it, it was beautiful and juggled off his chest then kicked out of the air from outside the 18 yard box and right into the far top corner of the goal and right in the last five minutes of overtime and DAMN it was pretty. Celine hung out, but stayed pointedly on the floor. I felt bad, but not bad enough to tone down the touchy-feely bit.
Then, at about 10:30, we kicked her out to watch Eurotrip. Setting aside my desire for alone time at that point, there was NO way I could get her parents to forgive me if I let her see it. She's not even allowed to watch PG13 movies, so Eurotrip... out of the question.
Though I admit freely, I did NOT watch very much of the movie. I spent more time paying attention to Chris. He does the cutest, most entertainingly adorable things sometimes. Like, he actually stopped and went "...can I?" before taking off my bra. Which was adorable. Of course, his sister walked in when my bra was half off to tell us we had midnight curfew, but she didn't notice... I don't think. Or, he looked at me randomly while we were making out, and goes completely out of the blue, "You're the most beautiful girl in the world, you know."
It's going to kill me, that's how sweet he is.
Funniest moment award: Thinking he'd gone to bed after his mom came to get him at midnight, so I went walking out in a tshirt and underwear cause my room's right next to the kitchen and he forgot the lemonade in my room. Lemonade + summer heat = bad things. And he walks into the hall, going "What do you need babe...oh...sorry..." and backpedaled out of the room reeeallyreally fast. I went back into my room, put shorts on, and then brought out the lemonade again. It worked much better that time. :D
Slept a bit fitfully but woke up nicely at 9:30, to discover the only other person awake was his mother. Managed to extract some more tampons from her, thankfully, then went to my room to talk to people online till the rest of the family woke up. Celine and their dad made biscuits, omelettes and bacon for breakfast, with cherries and 'genetically engineered blackberries' (they *were* huge, I have to say) on the side. See what I mean about being overfed? I managed to get a biscuit and some bacon down, to my credit, but then had to beg some ibuprofen off Chris. I really, really hate this week. >_>
After breakfast, we did presents. I got Family Fun Stuff from Chris! ^_^ Yay, more Sims expansions with which to waste my time. It's cool, though- Sims is my life, sadly. And Alice is thrilled too, of course -grin-. I got Chris a calligraphy brush and a box of chocolates. And I got him Age of Empires 3. THAT got me a huge hug, then he dragged me off into the other room, gave me a long kiss and told me that was the only proper way to thank me for such a fabulous present.
I am very, very pleased with myself, I might add. :D
We then had a nerdly hour or two. Celine and I promptly made a family of dragon children and proceeded to build them a house, while Chris defeated the Russians and the Germans on his computer next to us. His mom got a kick out of that, definitely. Then we went to Mass.
Yes, I am aware of all the manifold forms of irony implicit in the very fact that *I* went to *Church.* A Roman Catholic Mass, at that. But I behaved myself and did what everyone else did and even put on a skirt, though I didn't have a shirt and had to wear my sweater and felt dumb and stupid. The fact that people were wearing jeans helped a little, but Chris' mom is clearly VERY religious and I still felt a bit guilty. I didn't take Communion, though. I've never been baptised, never had a First Communion, never been confirmed- and hell, even if I had, I'd be Episcopalian. Thankfully Chris told me I didn't have to go up, cause that way I had permission to do what I would've anyway- stay pat.
After that we drove to NY, his mom making small talk while Chris ignored his family kept kissing me. As he said when I asked him later, "They probably don't approve- but I wasn't planning on stopping." A good philosophy, in my opinion xD We got to the city, and took a detour at Barbour. Chris and Celine and I tried on various hats, discussed soccer with the salesladies and read their catalogues. Then they made Chris try things on- thank the lord, they didn't make him buy the hideously colored orange shirt (it fit, but GODS that was a terrible color). I told him if he bought it, I was going to steal it and bleach it. He did get a nice navy rain jacket, though. His mom got a few buttondown shirts, then his dad dragged her out by her ears cause it was almost three and we still hadn't eaten lunch.
Even I, skinny nutcase that I am, was getting hungry at that point.
So finally we got out, went downtown, and got food. Some place called Goodies. It was very good- I didn't have much of anything, but I had something of everything. Even his parents gave in at that point. That makes, let's see... tea, crab dumplings, panfried flounder, some kind of pork, fried noodles, seasame beef, and somethingorother I forget what it was called but it was good. Chris ordered everything in Chinese, then explained that no, he's not Thai, he just learned Chinese at school. I laughed. Then he got his birthday present, which was four tickets to Capitol Steps the musical. His response was to turn to me and go "You're coming." Everyone laughed. Celine and his SYA friend Tyler will probably come too.
We went to the ice cream factory after lunch, but even Chris and his mom were feeling overfed by that point. His dad and Celine got a cone each, though, and then we walked down the street to a little china store. He insisted on buying me a tea strainer to go with the tea he got me from China. He even haggled the price down, which was intensely cool to watch. His parents interfered and upset him, but I dragged him off and calmed him down. He then demanded, "Hey, question: what'd I do to get so lucky?"
...I did mention he's too sweet for his own good, right? -melts-
We spent some time in the antique store so his mother could admire a screen, then they drove me home. I had them come upstairs- it felt really like I was showing off, but damnit, I just wanted him around longer. -sigh- Then I pretended Chris got lost, got a few seconds of alone time to say goodbye, and walked them back to their car.

As Lorelai and Rory Gilmore said in one of my favorite episodes:
"You've been spoiled with boyfriends, you know."
"But I -like- being spoiled!"
I am well, well beyond spoiled. And I am enjoying every second.
This is also probably one of the longest posts I've ever written. WHATever.
I love him, and I'll see him again Saturday. This makes life bearable.
