Well most of my clients want their colors to show since they have black hair. I usually put them under a thin layer near the top not on the top so the braids are still hidden...

Synthetic i recomend you take out after a month due to the hair looking shabby But if you do human hair it lasts up to 3 months and you can reuse the hair up to 2 years....
