If you compare the hp method towards this what do you think?

Pinch braids are tottally different.
The quality of Hairlocs hair is 100 percent cuticle hair.
Unfortunatly pinch braids can not be put in with 100 percent cuticle hair becuase they would all slip out.
These are placed in with a copper bead pinched down. No heat or glue used.
Its impossible to compair them becuase they are tottally different.
If i could choose which to have in my hair I would choose hairlocs however along with that comes a much higher price range.
