Because all Nanoha characters need a GGG reference

Silentium. Attacking us while Simon and Guy Shishioh are gone. Slinking about in our base instead of confronting us directly. Running when they can't steal the information they need. Janus may have been mocking us when he said "100%", but they have begun to fear us ( Read more... )

*Mako comes into the Cafe and sits next to Signum, though she is reading Signum's entry from her Shodophone as she does so.*

Yeah, when we fought them we were at a standstill. We didn't hurt them but they didn't really hurt us really either. They acted all high and mighty, but when it came down to it we were pretty evenly matched, or as evenly matched as two groups that are incapable of hurting each other are.

I am not so sure evenly matched is exactly the right phrase there... but I can't think of anything else which fits more than that.

I think the key thing to remember is that we're not going to be able to simply overpower an Imperatus, or even a Silentium officer on foot. The key seems to be distracting them and dividing their attention. It's easy enough with Janus since he likes to copy himself, but I don't know about the others...

I didn't fight this, "Janus" but my impression of the Silentium soldiers I did fight was similar. Aside of psychic powers, which seem to be capable of interfering with their capabilities to a limited degree, they seemed powerful but limited in their expression of that power.

When caught off guard they didn't seem to really have any effective counter. A defense certainly, but assuming we can at some point pierce sad defense, they don't seem to have much else going for them. Even this Anguis person didn't really do anything worse than some of the Ayakashi seem capable of doing.

I get the impression Anguis is a few orders of magnitude shy of the Imperati in terms of abilities, although he might be a better psychic.

The Imperati are arguably close to omnipotent. However, they're not omniscient, and that's why they can be surprised or overwhelmed.

You say that, but you're still talkin' about work.

[Vita is also at the cafe, eating way too much cake. She is possibly speaking with her mouth full.]

Chew before you swallow.

And we are rather busy. I can enjoy the scenery and continue with my duties at the same time.

I am! Just not much.

You should try and work something social into your schedule. It's useful for your sanity and getting a feel for how normal people react to everything going on.

I am social. I talk to Alex and Simon all the time...

...well not Simon lately, obviously, but in general.
