Yeah, when we fought them we were at a standstill. We didn't hurt them but they didn't really hurt us really either. They acted all high and mighty, but when it came down to it we were pretty evenly matched, or as evenly matched as two groups that are incapable of hurting each other are.
I am not so sure evenly matched is exactly the right phrase there... but I can't think of anything else which fits more than that.

When caught off guard they didn't seem to really have any effective counter. A defense certainly, but assuming we can at some point pierce sad defense, they don't seem to have much else going for them. Even this Anguis person didn't really do anything worse than some of the Ayakashi seem capable of doing.

You should try and work something social into your schedule. It's useful for your sanity and getting a feel for how normal people react to everything going on.
