Long Update

May 07, 2009 01:00

So it has been quite some time since I updated in this thing and figured it was about time to do so. Life for me has been pretty good. Wedding plans have been going forward and it looks like our awesome plan of awesomeness will work out and be, well, awesome. Money stuff for wedding and guest lists are rapidly forming and soon we will be able to book it to make it fully officially awesome.

School has been good, but I am very glad this semester is over. I was stuck in some classes that were, well, unchallenging is one way to put it, juvenile is the way I would. Assigned seatings in lecture hall classes, routine quizzes on the reading and no real discussion is not what I consider graduate level course work. Not sure what I got in them yet, but pretty sure I will keep my ability to get into the honor's society. Oh yeah, that is a bit of school related news, once I get the money I have been invited into the education honor society, but as these things go, you need to be able to pay to get into them. Figure it will probably be a good idea for future job potential. Summer classes are going to suck, as I must get through calculus 2. This si more difficult as I have not taken calc 1 in about 12 years. Due to that Im going to audit calc 1 in summer session 1, then take calc 2 in summer session 2.
That should make my summer interesting.

Game stuff is going well. Although, as usual, i do not actually play in any games. My modern day Exalted game goes well and eats up my tuesday nights fairly well. Things are moving further and I am definitely having fun weaving together all of the different world of darkness cannon stuff into the exalted mythos and shaking them all together. Aside from that the only game I run regularly is the dragon larp, which after a difficult month looks to be pulling itself back together fairly well. My heroes game is on current hiatus, due to scheduling issues and the like. Same with my 4th ed game. Been spending alot of time playing board games which is great, but I am still getting the old gaming itch. the only game I get to play is the occasional game of Dungeon. Ah well, thems the brakes.

Video games eat alot of time. finished Bioshock, Beat the living shit out of Resident Evil 5, like hard core. Currently playing devil May Cry 4, or as I like to think of it, stab,s tab, stab. Aside from that alot of WOW. Got my first 80, and getting ready to get my second and possibly third. Rolled a belf as well just to see the other side, and I must say, aside from silverymoon being pretty, I still think as little of the Horde and Horde content as I always have. And dear god are their cities laid out just piss poorly. Undercity is ok, but still it is pretty shitty to get around. And sure I will eventually get used to it, but they are definitely not designed for easy maneuvering and function.

Moving on to TV. I watch alot of stuff. Chuck is awesome and hopefully it will be renewed. Looking forward to the Pushing Daisies Season Finale stuff. Final three episodes on the lovely day of saturday starting at the end of the month. New Scrubs has been good, hopefully the season finale is good. Better off Ted is probably the best comedy this year. For my gamer friends out there, think of it as what would happen if mildly good intentioned Sons of Ether ran a corporation. Instead of intro music each episode has a commercial somehow relating to the plot, simply awesome. Breaking Bad is amazing as Bryan Cranston just continues to impress me every week. Can't wait for the returns of Burn Notice, Eureka, and Mad Men.

This weekend promises to be busy. Me and the lady are going up to ACEN to run games and pimp our stuff. So the weekend will be spent in Chicago up to our eyeballs in anime geeks. Im both excited and disapointed. Excited: Gaming/anime cons are awesome. Disapointed: This is my own week off all summer and was kind of looking forward to relaxing.

For those of you still reading I have a bit of a meme to finish the thing off recently I have been thinking alot about actors who I would watch in no matter what role they are in. So I kind of have been thinking about that and breaking it down even further.

Actors I will watch no matter what they are in(no particular order):
Nathan Fillion
Adam Baldwin
Johnny Depp
Joseph gordon Levett
Robert Downey Jr.
Christian Bale
Matt Damon
Brad Pitt

Actors almost on this list but not quite:
Viggo Mortenson
Clive Owen
Ryan Reynolds
Ed Norton
George Clooney
Tim Robbins
Brendan Fraser
Ken Watanabe
Will Smith
Simon Pegg
Dwayne "the rock" Johnson
The Cast of Pushing Daisies
The rest of the Firefly cast
Tina Fey
Actors formerly on this list, but no longer:
Jean Reno ( too many bad movies)
Bruce Campbell (Unfortunately, far too many horrible scifi original films, like the one where he is an astronaut with gabrielle from Xena)
Salma Hayek (same as above)

Finally, people who I will avoid movies with them at all cost:
Sandra Bullock(responsible for the single worst film I have ever seen: The Net. It was two hours long and I want those 3 days of my life back.)
Stephen Segal ("Of course I can ride a horse, Im a Native American")

For the 2 or so of you stillr eading feel free to reply here with your own list, or if you like the diea, steal it for yourselves.

Yeah.

Im done
