Hmph. I created separation of church and state. I feel that my people would be much more spiritual if they could choose the belief system that suited them best. I certainly am not powerful enough to save my people, but I have faith that in a proper republic, they can save themselves.

*Grumble* stupid despots with their established Churches. When will they see the beacon of liberty?

I quite agree, Senor. How I wish someone in my century could have been half as enlightened. Sadly, I never lived to see any Republic. Had I but been born a few centuries later, I might have done much for your noble experiment.

You, Senora, were no match for myself or my family while we lived. Do you really think you can intimidate me now that we have loosed the bounds that tied us to our mortal realm? My husband's death can not be put down to your nefarious power mongering, or obsessive Catholicism, however much you wish to claim his spirit.

If you wished to frighten me, you have failed. If you wished to accuse me of turning traitor to Spain, your logic is easily overcome. How could I be a traitor to a nation in which I was never allowed to set foot?

Your 'true faith', Isabella of Castile, is as hollow as your own ambition. You betray Jesus of Nazareth every time you betray his teachings of peace and righteousness, which, by the way, he got from the Torah.

The souls of my people do not require saving. We require no intermediary to go to God, who chose us from among the nations, when we die. It is your misfortune that you must kill and torture to attempt to buy yourself a cheap ticket to the destination that has always been ours.
