The Walking Dead episode appeared to be a mirror image gender issue.
Women: stay in the house, nonviolent, girl is in bed with depression. Her 2 role model women are arguing over how the best way to cure her. Ends with the girl maturing and the women binding her wounds.
Men: Start needless violence. Hyperactive boy is tied up in the back of the car [rape image anyone?] and the two men have a schoolyard brawl. over what? Arguing whether to murder him today or tomorrow. Ends with the men thanking him by making the boy a victim again.
