Don't worry about your papers. I mean, do them, naturally. But you aren't really going to remember that part of being in England unless you did some really brilliant work. I never even saved mine.
Don't forget Peacock's Tearoom! It's ten minutes by train and a lovely way to spend one afternoon.

The town of Ely is really close by and somewhat interesting. I believe Oliver Cromwell used to live there, which is nice considering that his head is in Cambridge.

The real fun in this one is taking a walk through the countryside just to get there.
Cambridge itself is also interesting. I don't remember exactly where it was (very close to King's College), but there's a little cafe actually built inside a gothic-style church, where you can have tea and a scone right next to an stained glass arch window.
... Yeah, tea took up a lot of my time.
