Message to self: Must remind cooks to be less messy in the kitchen, it really is ridiculous we have to paint it every six months. They really should be more careful.

Pity we can't grind up the bloody daffodils to make the house a nice yellow colour instead of that ghostly white. Must speak to Coleridge: the newspapers covering his walls need changing. Must keep the house nice.
