According to Mrs. O’Brien, Galileo was killed for going from Astronomy to Christianity...I'm sorry that sentence doesn't make sense to me, can you rephrase?
Also, its always the religious fanatics that ruin it for everyone.

She was teaching her children that Galileo was killed because he swtiched from Astronomy to Christianity

...but astronomy is not a religion, wouldn't the more likely lie be that he was killed for turning from Christianity for heaten science?

The point is neither would be true, he was scorned from the church for having 4 daughters out of wedlock and studying heathen science, but wasn't "killed"
