After wandering the urban jungle of Tokyo last weekend and spending my days in Saitama, the New Jersey of Japan, I was jonesin' for some greenery and wide open spaces. I figure if you're gonna run a con-game, you got to know more than the others playing. Big bill, 20 cents or 20 yen whatever, always pay your due. Games are always distractions. Picture # 68 gives great insight. Budda...yes. But look at the Japanese characature. Budda with Japanese features. I have seen laughing Budda, so we know He has moods. Japanese-looking Budda means there's a Budda to be discovered in all of us. Beautiful landscape, but even the Scientologists will tell you the surroundings are a reflection of the spirits that live there. Bunch of Japanese go by in their boat and see a tall, white foreigner. And they smile and take pictures. Their spirit showing through. Same scene in some other country we all know and they'd be throwing rocks at you or calling Homeland Security. Love to see what you're seeing and enjoying in Japan, K.D.
