First off, check out this hilariously funny and inventive
Xbox 360 ad that will never air on TV. It was made exclusively for special events surrounding the release of the the new console. Check it out - it made me laugh very hard which is really saying something since it's 5:30 in the morning.
Good news! I've been selected for a program at Bradley titled "Management for the 21st Century." This is a really big deal. I was selected by my work to attend this program. It's exclusively for Caterpillar Management in the Peoria area and it's like getting a mini-MBA in just 5 months. I go to Bradley twice a week (during work time no less) to learn about how Cat operates with regard to different business practices. Only four people from my entire building are going to this session. It starts in January. Wish me luck!
Yesterday was the Jingle Bell Run. It was REALLY FUCKING cold - about 20 degrees. I'm very proud of myself as I ran the entire 5K run. I was just over my goal of running the event in 30 minutes, but that's ok. I set a good pace starting out and was able to maintain it for the entire race. Plus, ice on the path made things a little interesting at times. Plus, I was the 3rd highest fundraiser for which I won a prize - a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. This is the first year they had a prize for the 1st place fundraiser - 2 free Allegiant Air airplane tickets plus a 4-person pass to Walt Disney World! Wow!
