got my passport forms handed in and it only took an hour from start (getting my photo taken) to going into that sketchy rite-aid on the ave to get a money order for the fees. sidenote: i ended up paying extra for an expedited one. that sucked.

do you know how much passports regularly cost? i need to renew mine... but i actually have to go to the office because mine was issued before i was 16 boo...

and can i just say, that barbara bush is a fuckin moron, but she is good for laughs, just like skinny coke heads (from my most favorite childhood friday night program) in large cars. woot.

regular passports cost almost $100 now ($97 to be exact...and then whatever you spend on getting a picture taken, mine was like $10). it totally sucks they're so expensive now, but i guess on the flipside they ARE good for 10 years, etc,etc. (http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html)

ew... that stings! sorry you had to pay extra... however, i think i can fit in at least $10 worth of exotic memories/trips to canada per year for the next 10 years... thanks for the info! when do you leave to where?

the trip i'm getting the passport for is going off the oregon coast in my school's ship (technically in international waters..they just changed the rules) and then the galapagos is the "real trip" in january. woot!
