Prop 4 was defeated by the same margin Prop 8 is currently passing.

4 didn't pass, darlin'! It came freaky close (someone tried to tell me that because I had a daughter, I HAD to vote yes. I said I was voting NO because I had a daughter, but asked if she REALLY thought this was an appropriate discussion in front of an 11-year-old. I mean, I'm all for sex-ed, but

8 isn't completely passed yet. Over 3 million absentee ballots were dropped off yesterday (this is how I usually do it, although the combo of moving and a slightly flaky registrar kept me from getting my mail-in ballot!), and absentee ballots tend to skew liberal, IIRC. They have up to 35 days to count (and re-count and re-re-count) absentee ballots.

It's not 50/50, but it's a lot closer than 61.4/39.6 of 2000!
