From this, I have learned an important lesson: I cannot write haikus.
Okay, but seriously, I have to thank you, Doug. In looking up on the Internet How To Write Haikus, I came across an old favorite poem!! In my senior year of high school we studied haikus. Here was my favorite, by Basho:
I have been better than average lately with getting accepted to San Jose State and meeting rob. from moe. and all. A turn for the good. Yes. The rest of the world, eh...I'll think about them another day. The sky is bluest here in the evenings when the sun decides to take a dip in the frigid Pacific and the clouds go off somewhere else to play with all the purples and pinks
