Sometimes I wish Columbia students would do crazy shit like that, but no, they have to stay inside and get high all the time.
I wish the interviewer in the documentary asked the deaf guy this: "So you wish the whole world was deaf, huh? You're basically implying that if it were up to you, you'd make every hearing baby undergo surgery so they could fulfill your desire for every human being to have hearing loss, just like you. Is that correct, sir?"
I want to visit Denver this summer. Comeeeee with me!
deaf pride is good. But, damn, this guy and others in the video were a wee bit extreme... being deaf can't be your life... it certainly can be a PART of your life (not that you have a choice anyways... well, I guess if you count CI)
I know people are going to hate me for saying this (hell, I don't even know why I bother to start shit like this) but some deaf people's lives are so empty that they turn to their own freaking disability to scrape up some meaning in their lives.
Coffee drenched and frigid mountain mornings--I'm swept back too. And speaking of such I've updated falling__up_ through the end of 2002. Funny reading back--I can actually See the insanity kicking in. Next is 2003 when life really goes out of control.
