So to begin with, I thought about posting something yesterday, but then thought, now that's just silly, why are you posting about some online viral game? Now, eh... compared to the bottome of this post, this ain't so bad.
I was playing 221B (*gasp* surprise! I know) and was all like JENNY!!! at the end, because for some odd reason, I really liked her. We bonded. Maybe it was because she was all into Egypt... or maybe because she was a punk ass bitch (for a Victorian) and I kinda felt bad for her. Being a woman in Victorian times sucked.
she was a really pretty corps Did I mention maybe some spoilers around here? The ending video was... erm. Pretty. It was very nicely done and all I could think was "I hope my hair looks that nice when I'm dead." Which is a very bad thought, I'm sure. Just like watching the music video for Helena and thinking, "Where did the corpse shop? I really want her dress. Oh, and to get up and dance at my own funeral, cause that would be cool as all get up."
Yeah. I'm a nut *click click* I'm a nut *click click* I'm craaaaaaaazy. If you want to see how crazy, keep reading.
I'm posting this here as well as over at
holmeswatson09 just to prove how horribly far I have fallen into this Sherlock Holmes thing. Yeah, it's bad.
So, the backstory is,
pro_prodigy posted the absolutly delicious cover for Esquire mag, you know, the one with Robert Downey Jr. on it? And then
holmes221B jumped on it with a plea for an icon, seconded by several others. I went, yeah, an icon would be really cool, especially since
pro_prodigy wrote the caption "insert Watson here" and my mind went *splat* into the sewer.
At the time, I had about six Adobe projects open because I wanted to bring a "first post"! gift to the community, instead of just hanging around and telling people how much I liked their stuff. Which I do... I make certain to go everyday and drool a little at all the pretties they are posting. So I was like, well... I've got a couple images already edited, and I've always wanted to make an animated icon... but I don't really know how...
...
Guess I'm gonna find out!!
And so I did. And well... this is it.
I keep looking at it and cracking myself up. That's something at least. No comments on it yet over there, so I'm not sure how well it will be recieved. I hope someone at least will like it. I'm very nervous about it, and I shouldn't be. But it's one of those, oh dear, here's something I've made that I am actually showing to other people... I'm not sure I like this very much. Fly little icon, fly!!
Also I figure, once you've made Severus Snape dance the Masochism Tango with Harry Potter, AND made him do grand jete in a pink tutu... it's really all up from there, fandom-wise, I mean. I certainly can't make them do anything worse! AHAHAHAHA!!!
Certainly the image in my head of Glitch singing "The Elements" isn't too horrible... But I have a dreadful desire to go all Dr. Demento on Sherlock Holmes...
No, no, I must stop this madness!!
It's bad enough I gave into temptation and read/looked at all the pictures, of Steampunk!Holmes/Watson. I used to be like: "I shall never like THAT!" and now I'm like ":wibble: clockwork is really sexy." Which is WRONG. I'm serious. Wrong and very, very, VERY pretty and tempting and evil and... guh. :wibbles away: anyone got a towel for my drool?
It's a slippery, slippery slope into fandom insanity. I thought I hit bottom years ago, but now I begin to see... I have yet to begin to slide.
