If they're not, then they're not friends. That simple, according to that concept. If your definition of being friendly, so does the definition of being a friend to accomodate.

I actually agree with that. But then, there's always the possibility that someone doesn't know who their friends are or might behave in a way that would feign friendliness in order to stay hidden under the cloak of the friends. Or something to that effect.
