Steven Taylor is not impressed. He recieved the message from his assistant that a Dean had called, and he has no doubts that a similiar generic and yet potentially incriminiating message was left on his mobile.
And when he checks his service the message is near useless. What time? Is he expected to wait at the park all day?
He calls Dean, "I recieved your near useless message. It would have been hard to find a way to complete the task in such an unsatisfactory fashion, but you obviously have a talent for under achieving as proved by your failed career and indeed, life. Call me."
Dean listens to Taylor's message. The man has a knack for stating the obvious managing to be brutal and unpersonal at the same time.
Wondering if he is another David, wondering what made David got involved with Taylor in the first place, wondering what would be different if he simply didn't call back...
But hell, as he told David, his own shitty mess. He dials the number and waits for the answer.
There is a definite edge to walking into the lion's den on one's own will, after all.

Another lesson that needs sinking in better.

He didn't want to say, guess he didn't take to me that well.
