I like the story so far but I just can not understand why Dean was angry and why Castiel had to apologize. Yes the road is unused but it's a road and as long as it's there, there is a possibility of it being used by drivers; cars do speed on long straight passes of road and even though Dean could be angry that Castiel was speeding he can't be angry at Cas because the horse was spooked...if Dean knows how easily scared the horse can get, riding it next to some road no matter if it's unused or not is just not ideal ( ... )

I'm sorry if it was a little unclear, but that "road" you're referring to is more like a trail (I think I even called it a trail at least once), and it's part of a private property (okay, I may have missed mentioning this part of it). So, technically in my opinion Dean was right to be angry, because who would except anyone drive down a dirt road with a breakneck speed (well, more like to drive down there at all in fact). I certainly wouldn't, and I wouldn't drive down either, especially not with a gorgeous Chevy Camaro, but maybe that's just me xD

Did you really replace Dean's swearing with beeps? Really?

Nope, I did not "replace" them. That's exactly the way it was meant to be. You know, sometimes people just don't want to swear. If you don't like the way I write, I'm sorry, you can judge me all you want, but I'm still gonna write the way I want.

Actually you did. Dean as a character has shown hehas no problem with swearing, especially if the situation calls for it. Censoring things like that, or making Dean a little OOC by saying that beep is what he said, pulls the reader out of the story. I know when I reached that spot, it was like hitting a full stop.

If you're not comfortable with swearing (which I find hard to believe since you've apparently no trouble giving this fic an NC-17) don't write it. Or give characters swear words in their dialogue. There are better ways to works around it than a self-censored beep.

I'm sorry it felt OOC to you, I thought it would be a little signal of how this Dean is not necessarily THE Dean (this is an AU fic after all), also I tried to tie it in with the fudge thing from "A very Supernatural Christmas", apparently I was wrong to do so. Anyway, this is not even nearly like the SPN universe, and I didn't feel the need for Dean to go all "son of a bitch" on anyone and anything. I know it's what he says on the show all the time, but that gets boring after a while. (Also, I am not afraid of swearing, actually I swear too much, but that's a different thing.) In my opinion, any curse would have been out of place in this fic, but of course you are entitled to feel otherwise. Though, if this one thing is too much for you, than maybe this is not the fic you should be reading, because I'm sure you'll have a lot of problems like this ( ... )
