I wish I had a way of telling you how to figure this out, but of course I don't. I guess the only thing to do is figure out what you really really want to do with your life, then figure out if it's feasible and sustainable to live your life in the way you want to, and for how long. Do you plan on being friends with the same people in 5, 10, 30 years? I mean, that's one way to, like, organize things. I think? I don't know.
It's really hard to think your way out of a situation when you are chin high in the problem. maybe time off would be good, or going to see Andre over break and getting pills again, or maybe you just need this break over xmas to sit down with your parents or even by yourself and make a list of what you would do without colllege/with college.
hopefully things start going your way sometime soon! i'm thinking about you <3
Asshole thing to say: Man the fuck up. Quickly learn that life isn't exactly giggles and sausages. You gotta spend a LOT of time seperating the wheat from the chaff before you can make bread.
More respectful thing to say: I have no idea, dude. I would say transferring is a good idea, but that is a biased opinion. Just....I don't know. The idea of working at a grocery store or some dead-end job is not going to pay off any of your debts. So in that sense, maybe college is just the means to make enough money to pay off college? Whooo. Catch-22 indeed! Ok. More serious note (god damn, this hangover sucks.) Maybe your fields of study (Biology, Computer Science) are just completely wrong? Have you looked at the humanities at all (English, Poli Sci, Philosophy, Socio, etc.)? I mean, I know it's late to change majors and such, but it's something to consider.
Just..GO TO CLASS! It's not incredibly difficult to do. I do it, and I drink way too much to be a better student than you. (Chris says the first honest thing in awhile.)
Jordon, I know that you and everyone else your age think you have to know what you are going to do with your life. Well while it is always good to have a goal in mind just know that your college education is a step in the direction of adulthood. Those who thake that route will always have that to fall back on.. Those who drop out more often than not end-up in dead end jobs and regret the rest of their lives... I know you will say oh that is just clechae, (I know that is misspelled and badly but it is the word that needs to be used here)... I hear that all the time, but hear me out... I am a living breathing example of this... I went to college with lofty goals in life, but circumstances changed my path... I got my degree and when I could not find a teaching job right off I was able to get jobs at a higher level because I had a degree. It didn't matter what my degree was in I had a college degree.. I got management jobs instead of mimumin wage jobs... When people say to me, you work at Cenex and you have a college degree I say I
