I'm guessing that Emily is magical in some way or has massive powers brought down to her through her bloodline, through her mom.
Extremely powerful, great imagery.

I like the story a lot. The details of the peice really bring it to life... but I want to know more about it! It feels unfinihed, and I want to hear the rest of the story. You did a great job of hooking me. :D
