Kris doesn't need to be rescued from Katy. Not really. From his mother's match-making plans for him and Katy, maybe, but not from Katy herself. And it might be the other way around, it might be Kris saving Adam - he's a resourceful guy after all. Or, it might be mutual saving. ;)

Samuel is a sweetheart, and so much fun to write. His hero-worship of Kris is kinda awesome! ;)

Hope my comment isn't too late? :P

I just felt I had to comment on this. It left me speechless, it was so well written. After finishing it, I must admit I shouted, "THAT'S IT?" because what a way to end it! I now -need- a sequel. To be honest, at first I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it but it just took some getting used to your ~style, because it's really different. The detail you give makes me feel like I was transported back in time and watching the growth of the relationship between these two men. Not just the detail, but the wording you used made it even more fascinating. It was clear you did your "homework".

I found myself reading wherever I went, it was so addictive. So thank you for this amazing story. Dying to read the sequel.

(Side note: One of my favorite scenes was definitely when Kris had to wake the Captain after he napped. The whole blanket and leg thing was definitely unf. ;))
