Sounds like mom had fun...hopefully sis wasn't a beast.
BTW -- you are gonna regret having so many DVDs to move when the time comes. I only speak from pure experience. 7 boxes of DVDs and 10 boxes of CDs. urrrgh. Those f*ckers are NOT light.
are you renting a u-haul? We were going to for our move, but they wanted nearly $2000 for the cross country move. We sold EVERYTHING. We just bought a tv and a dvd player last week and we're picking up furniture piece by piece at the bargain center around the corner. Stephie's not happy about the wicked ugly lamps.
The first option is going to be just loading everything into my car and Dad's truck, and hauling it that way. If absolutely necessary, I'll get a small U-Haul trailer and Dad can bring it back, so there won't be any one-way fees or anything. But I'm thinking I'll be able to load it all in the truck & car. :)
I have a non-ugly lamp. It leans a little. Okay, a lot. But it's not ugly. :)
I am so jealous about the whole set of Babylon 5. I used to have the whole thing taped off the Sci Fi channel.... oooh, right that makes me even more of a geek. Well only half of the tapes had the commercials clipped!!!
I have a lot of episodes on VHS, and a couple that I converted to DVD, but the geeky goodness of having those shiny boxes with all the pretty disks in them was just too good to pass up, especially at only $20 per season. Plus, all the extras. Mmmmmmmm..... extras.
mmm... Babylon 5... Haven't thought about that in a long time. Damn good show. One of those shows that was definately limited by available technology, and funding. It deserved a lot more of both.
At any rate, if you're such a TV-on-DVD fan, I guess I know what to get you for Hannukah.
Yeah, it was good for it's time, but still, it could be soooooo much better if they did a little reprocessing. Oh well.... give it a few years and they'll probably update all the graphics and tweak it. Aren't they just now doing that to all the original Star Trek?
Yeah, I've become a fan of tv-on-dvd, if only because I can get so many more hours of viewing for not much more than the cost of a single movie. Plus, I can find more 45 minute to an hour blocks to watch something in than 90 minute to 2 or 3 hour blocks. And when nothing good is on tv.... *pow* something good on dvd. :)

heh :) I know. Almost 400 DVDs is gonna be a bitch to move, but it'll probably still be lighter than my comic collection. ;)
