Oh man, a motorhome. I had my own battles over one of those. The Ex bought one and wanted to tour the country, just us and the kids in a tiny little box with no way to get away from him.. and my family trying to urge me into it because they all thought we needed more time together, and me arguing as strongly as I could to keep from being stuck with him with no way to get away.. Ugh.. To this day, motor homes, especially used ones, give me the cold shivers.
Think of it this way, at least you won't be home to do the work on it if it needs any.. Aaaaaand, when they decide to come visit you, they've got their own rolling house, AND room to bring you all sorts of really keep BIG presents.
Very true! Plus, I won't be here to get stuck going camping with my dad. Because if I was here, Mom would absolutely use me to get out of going herself. ;)
My prediction: Dad will use it once or twice, realize that even with a motorhome, he's too old for camping, and then he'll sell it. And Mom will rejoice.
