Short response... I pretty much agree with everything =P
One of the things that's really off-putting to my girlfriend about this show and mostly the fandom in particular, is the idea of angels and sex. She says they're supposed to be pure beings, no emotion, only obey orders. But we see in Supernatural that this definitely is the case with most angels, except for a few exceptions, like how you mentioned Gabriel. Makes sense. He's been living on Earth for who knows how long, and then Cas, who's been learning from Dean. Personally, I see no reason why they can't be sexual, if they really wanted to. Their vessels are human, and sex is a human function, so... there's that!
And lesse, uh, what else did I wanna comment on... Demon kiss! Yeah that was like. Wtf. I was thinking maybe I needed to rewatch that episode just 'cause it seemed so strange to me. Guess I'm not alone in that, then o_O; The porn, though, I think he may have been genuinely curious. As he spends more and more time around the Winchesters, he seems to try to

There are still a lot of unknowns about angels in the Supernatural canon. Some of them, like Castiel's followers in his rebellion, seem fairly innocent about how the world works. Others, like Zachariah and Balthazar, are more "worldly". There's plenty of room in between for various interpretations.
I agree, Cas and Dean have developed such an interesting and complicated relationship. I do sometimes ship them as a couple, but what works for me in a fanfic might not necessarily work for me as actual canon. But that's what fanfic should do, explore things that might never happen in canon.
And oh yes, Dr. Sexy. Guilty pleasure indeed, Dean. ;D
Oh yeah, definitely ship it. But yeah, that's what that stuff is for, like you said. Exploring different possibilities! And uh. I think I was gonna go somewhere with that, but now I don't remember =| EITHER WAY. I guess we'll just have to see what happens in the next season! *worried for Cas* ;^;
