Crave

Sam waited anxiously for Dean at the luggage retrieval area of the Springfield airport. Sam's first glimpse of his baby brother shocked him a little. Dean was far too thin and way too pale. Those thoughts were banished momentarily when Dean met Sam's concerned gaze and gave him a dazzling smile. Sam felt the tightness that had lingered in his chest for years loosen. Dean was home! He rushed forward and gathered Dean up in his arms for a bear hug that lifted his baby brother off the ground. Holding Dean always released a flood of feelings inside Sam and this was no different.

“Sammah!” Dean exclaimed as he held onto his older brother tight. He felt tears of happiness form and fall as Sam enveloped him in a welcoming hug. Dean had almost forgotten how safe and happy he felt when his older brother held him.

Sam finally released Dean reluctantly, “Did you have a good flight?”

“As Bobby would say, fair to middling.” Dean answered with a grin.

“Yeah, he's just as cantankerous and ornery as ever! Let's get your luggage and go home!” Sam said as he and Dean approached the baggage carousel.

Fifteen minutes later, they were on the road for the forty five minute drive home. Sam got Dean up to date on how Boaz had changed. He delighted in informing Dean that Boaz had a winery now. Dean scoffed but Sam said they would be driving right past the Hiney Winery on the way home. When Dean heard the name, he actually laughed. Sam told him that he'd attended the opening weekend and they had given him an official Hiney Inspector ball cap, t-shirt and bumper sticker. Dean was practically rolling now and the sound of his laughter warmed Sam up from the inside. When the Winchester Brothers were five miles out of town, they saw the billboard inviting people to the Hiney Winery to take the wine tasting tour and become an official Hiney Taster and Inspector.

Dean saw the huge logo that appeared to be pert buns and turned to his brother in disbelief. ”Their logo is an ass?!”

“They say it's the rolling hills of the Ozarks but I say it's an ass!” Sam replied with a deep chuckle.

“I've heard of getting an assload of wine before but that is ridiculous! Someday, I'm gonna take the wine tasting tour just to see if the wine tastes like ass!” Dean joked feeling almost giddy to be laughing with Sam.

“I thought the wine tasted good but you'll have to tell me what you think. They have one called Liquid OMGasm that you've got to try! It's really quite good.” Sam recommended the heavenly desert wine.

“I'm beginning to think this place is a cover for a sex club! Do they have a dungeon in the wine cellar? A jungle room just down the hall from the gift shop, perhaps?” Dean suggested with a teasing glint in his eye.

“When you're feeling up to it, we'll find out!” Sam vowed smiling over at Dean.

As they drove up to the ranch, Dean took a good look around. The barn was a deep brick red now instead of peeling fire engine red and the house was a rich golden brown instead of stark white. “Wow! You gave the place a makeover! It looks great! I love the new colors!” Dean exclaimed as he smiled at Sam.

“When Dad moved in with Ellen, I decided I needed to make this place mine. Just wait til you see the inside!” Sam declared with a dimpled smile as he parked his truck and they got out.

Dean followed Sam in the door and began to look around excitedly. Sam had torn up all the carpeting and had the hard wood floors restored. The furniture in the large living room was deep burgundy leather with large wooden accent tables. There was a woven vines wreath over the fireplace with a simple deep burgundy ribbon wound around it. The drapes matched the color of the leather love seat, sofa and recliner. Sam had installed a ceiling fan that had mood lighting so the room was suffused in a soft glow. Dean's eyes came to rest on the huge lcd screen television that dominated one wall. He got closer and saw that Sam had hooked up a Wi, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 to it. He also had a Boise surround sound system.

“I'm impressed! This is really awesome, Sammah!” Dean turned to smile broadly at his older brother.

“Let's keep moving. There is more to see!” Sam announced excitedly.

Dean checked out the kitchen next and was amazed at the stainless steel and marble that now dominated the once utilitarian space. There were copper pots and all sorts of state of the art appliances. “Please tell me you know how to use this stuff.” Dean said as he looked up at his brother.

“Yeah, they had a class at the community college and I signed up. It was kind of funny cause I figured that I'd be the only guy there! It turned out there were about thirty guys and a half dozen ladies in the class! It was actually fun and I found I enjoyed cooking! I'll cook for you tonight and we'll see what you think.”

“I'm looking forward to that.” Dean said with a happy grin as he followed Sam down the hall to the bedrooms.

“Your room is pretty much how you left it. I figured changing it was your call. I had the bathroom updated. Now it's an all in one instead of just a tub that you pull a shower curtain around. The toilet and vanity have been replaced too. The new ones are more efficient and use less water.” Sam explained as they walked through the bathroom to his bedroom.

Dean had been complimenting Sam on the updates but stopped in his tracks when they got to Sam's bedroom. Dominating the space was a king size sleigh bed. Sam looked to Dean and saw how Dean was staring at the bed in silence. He knew that Dean has said he'd like for them to have a big ole sleigh bed to roll around on during the time they were together. Sam had never forgotten that. When he looked for a new bed, the sleigh bed was his choice. Sam remained silent waiting for Dean to respond.

Dean walked forward and ran his finger tips over the gleaming wood curves of the sleigh bed. A lump had formed in his throat. Sam must of remembered that he had always loved sleigh beds. Dean knew this meant something but he couldn't face it at the moment. He looked around the room at the matching dresser, chest of drawers and night stands. Sam had only had one night stand before. There were storage drawers built into the under side of the bed frame as well. This room was meant to be shared but with whom? That wasn't a question that Dean was prepared to ask just yet.

“The house looks amazing, Sam! You did such a great job with everything! It's good to be home.” Dean said sincerely as he gave Sam another heart stopping smile.

“It's good to have you home, Dean.” Sam said and meant it with all his heart.

The next morning, Sam did all the prep work to make Southwestern style omelets for breakfast. He decided to go see if Dean was up before he stated cooking. As he walked thru the living room, he saw Dean on the floor, leaning up against the wall with his head in his hands.

“Dean! Are you okay?” Sam dropped to his knees by his baby brother.

Dean looked up at Sam and tears were running freely down his pale cheeks. Sam pulled Dean into his arms and held him tight. He felt cold tendrils of dread and fear racing down his spine and coiling like a viper in his stomach. It took Dean a few moments to pull himself together. He pulled away from Sam a little, wiped the tears off his face and looked up into Sam's concerned eyes. Dean touched his brother's face gently and took a deep breath.

“Sam, I'm dying.”

Sam felt as if all the oxygen had been sucked out of the room. That cold viper in his stomach was now coiled tightly around his heart. Sam concentrated on breathing for a moment. He had to get enough air in his lungs to say something.

“Is it cancer?” Sam finally gasped as he looked into Dean's tear ravaged face and liquid green eyes.

“Well, it's several things but the most immediate is that one kidney has stopped functioning and the other will soon. There are also issues with my heart and liver. Sam, after Dax died, I went a little crazy in my grief. I only wanted to join him. The doctors gave me all sorts of prescription drugs and I started to abuse them. I've been destroying my body with them ever since. I'm so sorry, Sammah. I know how much this is going to hurt you and I hate that. Please forgive me Sam. I couldn't stand it if you hated me at the end.” Dean looked up pleadingly into his brother's stunned face.

“You aren't gonna die, Dean. I'm your brother. I'll give you one of my kidneys.” Sam declared firmly as he looked down at Dean.

“Sam, I'm not in good shape. I might not survive the transplant surgery. I can't let you give up a healthy kidney for me after I deliberately destroyed mine.”

“Dean, Barnes Jewish Hospital is one of the top rated hospitals in the world. We're going to go there and you're going to take my kidney. You will survive this cause I can't loose you Dean. Do you hear me? I can't lose you!” Sam pulled Dean back into his arms and held on tight.

Two months later.....

Sam and Dean had been back home for two weeks after being released from Barnes Jewish in St. Louis. The kidney transplant had been successful and now they were both on the road to recovery. Sam was bouncing back a lot faster than Dean. John, Ellen and Bobby had taken care of the ranch while they were away and were still doing most of the work. Sam was worried about Dean's slow progress and depression. Dean was on a lot of medication and his other health problems were wearing him thin. Sam was beginning to despair as Dean seemed to disappear deeper and deeper within himself with each passing day. Sam knew something had to give.

It happened on June 4th. Sam and Dean were up at 7:00 am as usual. They made a lumberjack breakfast of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon served with fresh squeezed orange juice and Texas toast. Dean was quiet as usual and Sam tried creating a couple of silly naughty pancake and sausage formations to make him smile. Dean threw a piece of toast at him and called him a goofy boy. Sam replied that's Mr. Goofy Boy to you. Dean looked out the window and stood up out of his chair so fast that it skittered backwards into the wall.

“What the hell, Dean!” Sam yelled as Dean practically ran out the door.

Sam went after him and stopped short when he saw what had captured Dean's attention. “Oh my god, it's Ghost! He's real!” Sam exclaimed as he stared in wonder at the thin, filthy, limping dapple gray horse that Dean was walking up to.

“It's okay. I just want to help you.” Dean said softly as he slowly moved towards the injured horse.

Sam watched as Dean and Ghost moved steadily towards each other. He was holding his breath but he didn't know why. Somehow, he knew this was an important moment. He didn't want to do or say something that might jinx it.

Dean and ghost stopped about a foot apart and looked at each other appraisingly. Neither of them knew it but their meeting had been predetermined by an angel. On the night that Dax had died in New Orleans, Ghost had been in his stall on the farm adjacent to the Winchester ranch. A farm hand who hadn't properly snuffed out his cigarette started the blaze. The farmer's wife had run into the barn to save Ghost and the other horses but the smoke had taker her life. Ghost knew there were rotted boards at the back of his stall that gave when he leaned against them. He had pressed with all his bulk and in a flash of bright light had broken through the boards and raced out into the night. In his blind panic, he ran far away, when he returned the farm that had been his home was empty. He had gone all over the area on a quest of sorts for a new home. The legend of the ghost horse had grown over time. Now Ghost was tired and hungry and hurting and this man standing in front of him was holding out a hand to him and speaking to him gently as the woman from the farm used to.

Castiel stood close to Dean and Ghost waiting for the right moment. He had saved these two souls on that night over two years ago. Their souls had cried out and he had answered their call. The angel wasn't sure why he had been compelled to intervene in these two lives but this moment was the culmination of his endeavor to save them both.

Sam could hear Dean talking to the horse but his voice was so low that Sam couldn't make out the words. He watched intently as Dean and Ghost stopped and looked at each other. Sam was silently urging Dean to reach out his hand. He was trying his best to send the thought to Dean's mind.

Dean looked into the large brown eyes of the dapple gray and swore he could see sadness there. He instinctively reached out his hand and Ghost leaned forward so his velvety muzzle was cupped in Dean's hand. A pulse of energy ran between them and their eyes widened. Castiel smiled. He knew that the souls he had saved were going to recover now. They were going to really live again. Dean and Sam both would swear later that they had heard the sound of wings flapping but they couldn't explain it.

Dean talked to Ghost and petted him reassuring the dapple gray while Sam took a look at him. The worst injury had been done by barb wire that had gotten wrapped around Ghost's left hind leg. It had torn open his skin and left large sores that had become infected. They would have to get the vet out here to remove the barb wire and treat the wounds. Ghost had some other minor cuts and abrasions and one hoof seemed tender. Sam told Dean he was going in to call the vet, Dr. Canton. Dean said he would stay and wait with Ghost.

Dr. Canton and his assistant arrived within the hour to treat Ghost's wounds. While they were busy with Ghost. Sam told Dean all about Ghost's legend. Dean was stunned that the fire had happened the same night Dax had died. It seemed like such an odd coincidence. It seemed like fate. Dr. Canton told them Ghost would recover completely with time. He wold be scarred but sound. Sam paid him and took the meds and thanked him for coming out so quickly. After the vet left, Dean and Sam shaved off the matted mess that used to be Ghost's mane and tail. Dean looked sad as they worked on the horse.

“Sammah, do we have to return Ghost now?”

“No, Dean. The man who owned the farm left right after he buried his wife. No one has seen him since. Ghost doesn't have a home to go back too.” Sam replied.

“He has a home here now. I'll take care of him.” Dean declared with a bright smile the likes of which Sam hadn't seen in a long while.

Sam returned the smile with a dimpled one of his own as he sent up a prayer of thanks to whoever brought Dean and Ghost together. Castiel heard the prayer and nodded. He knew he had done the right thing.

Dean and Ghost seemed to improve every day. Dean was smiling and laughing again like he used to. Sam was well and truly happy with how everything was turning out. He and Dean hosted dinner for John, Ellen and Bobby every Sunday night. They would play Texas Hold Em after dinner and talk for hours. One Sunday in October, Dean and Ellen were cleaning up and John, Sam and Bobby were standing out on the front porch.

“Dean's back like he used to be! The smile, that grin, the way he hugs everyone and makes us all laugh. I never thought I'd see him like that again. I'm just so damn glad.” John felt a lump in his throat and looked out to see Ghost wandering around the side of the yard.

“How come Dean never puts that horse up in the barn or out in the corral? Every day I see him making rounds and getting into mischief.” Bobby asked.

“Ghost remembers the fire. He won't step foot in the barn and he doesn't want to be locked up in a corral either. Dean let's him roam free. He knows Ghost won't ever leave here. He found his home with Dean.” Sam repled as Ghost walked up to the edge of the porch and nickered softly.

Right on cue, the door opened and Dean stepped out with an apple sliced into four slices and a handful of carrots. “Hey guys! Time for Ghost's evening snack!” Dean announced as he walked out to the waiting dapple gray.

“It's weird, it's like those two have a psychic connection or something.” John said as they watched Dean feed the horse.

“Whatever it is, it saved both of them. Dean was in a very bad way, then Ghost showed up and they both healed up together. We wouldn't have gotten Dean back if Ghost hadn't appeared that day.” Sam declared and his father nodded his agreement.

Later that night, Sam was brushing his teeth and thinking that he should ask Dean if he'd like to do the tour of the Hiney Winery over the weekend. Dean had been feeling so much better lately, Sam was pretty sure he'd be up for it. Sam turned off the water, dried his hands and opened the door to Dean's bedroom. The sight before him made him catch his breath as he stared.

Dean was standing in front of his vanity mirror. He had on a short jade green silk robe that was open in the front and black satin panties. He was using the robe to cover the scars from his surgeries while looking at himself in the mirror. Dean loved the silky feel of the material over his cock and ass. The look and feel of the slinky sexy panties excited him and he was already half hard and he hadn't even touched himself.

Sam couldn't stop himself from going to Dean. It had been far too long since he had seen his brother hot and hard like this. Dean's eyes got huge when he saw Sam approaching him in the mirror. He turned quick as a cat but Sam was right there.

“Drop the robe, Dean. I want to see you.” Sam husked as he stared into his brothers huge liquid green eyes.

“I'm not pretty like I used to be Sammah. My body is a road map of scars now.” Dean said starting to turn away.

“Dean, you are beautiful. Those scars mean you survived. You're here with me and I need to see you, now.” Sam commanded as he placed his hands on Dean's shoulders and began to push the green material off.

Dean saw how badly Sam wanted him and he allowed his older brother to push the robe away. Sam couldn't stop the moan that left his lips at the sight of Dean in black satin panties. He pulled Dean into his arms and kissed him deeply as he cupped Dean's throbbing cock and ass through the slinky panties. Dean shuddered under Sam's touch. He hadn't allowed another man to touch him since Dax died and he needed this more than he could say. Sam and Dean's tongues battled for dominance as their hands became reacquainted with each others bodies.

When they had to pull apart for some much needed oxygen, Sam spun Dean around so he was facing the dresser and mirror. Dean leaned forward and braced his hands on the dresser as he stuck his ass out towards his brother. Sam was rock hard and leaking copious amounts of precome into his boxers. He slid his boxers off and humped his cock against Dean's pert panty clad ass. Sam rubbed his large hand against Dean's thick cock through the panties as he humped into Dean a few more times. Finally, Sam slid his right hand inside the back of the black panties and pressed his index finger against Dean's pink pucker.

“Lube's in the night stand, Sam, hurry.” Dean said, his voice wrecked with need.

Sam was back in a flash and began to prep Dean. Sam was careful with his baby brother. He continued to stroke Dean's cock through the satin material as he crooked and scissored his fingers to open Dean up. Dean couldn't take anymore. He started to push the panties down and Sam helped him get them off. Dean wiggled his ass at Sam and his older brother responded by spanking him playfully for a moment. Dean pressed his ass back and this time Sam lined up his thick cock with Dean's opening and pressed in steadily until he popped past the furled muscle. Dean and Sam both moaned at the feel of being so intimately connected again after so many years. Sam kept up the steady pressure as he buried himself deeply inside Dean's hot ass. Dean pressed back to meet every thrust. He was going crazy with desire for his brother. When Sam was balls deep inside Dean, he leaned forward to kiss the back of Dean's neck and nibble there. Shivers of pleasure danced along Dean's spine and he moaned his appreciation. Sam knew Dean was ready now so he grabbed his brother's slim hips firmly in his large hands and began to pull out and thrust in deeply. Dean was totally lost in the moment and the pleasure Sam was giving him. Sam started to pound into Dean as he stroked his baby brother off. Dean couldn't hold back and he cried out as his cock shot out ribbons of come onto the hard wood floor and dresser. Dean's ass clamped down like a vise and Sam practically screamed Dean's name as he came deep inside his brother's tight ass. Sam held Dean tight as they shivered through the aftershocks of their orgasms. When it was over, Sam carried Dean to his room and they snuggled up together in the huge sleigh bed.

“Sammah, does this mean we're together now?” Dean asked in a small voice.

“Dean, now that I have you here, I'm never letting you go.” Sam promised as he kissed the top of his baby brother's head.

“I love you, Sammah.” Dean said and kissed Sam's broad muscular chest.

“Love you too, Dean.” Sam said around the lump in his throat. He fell asleep holding the only man he had ever loved and needed tight in his arms.

After All by Cher - Dean and Sam's Song

Well, here we are again
I guess it must be fate
We've tried it on our own
But deep inside we've known
We'd be back to set things straight

I still remember when
Your kiss was so brand new
Every memory repeats
Every step I take retreats
Every journey always bring me back to you

After all the stops and starts
We keep coming back to these two hearts
Two angels who've been rescued from the fall

After all that we've been through
It all comes down to me and you
I guess it's meant to be
Forever you and me
After all

When love is truly right
It lives from year to year
It changes as it grows
And oh the way it grows
But it never disappears

After all the stops and starts
We keep coming back to these two hearts
Two angels who've been rescued from the fall

After all that we've been through
It all comes down to me and you
I guess it's meant to be
Forever you and me
After all

Always just beyond my touch
You know I needed you so much
After all, what else is living for?

After all the stops and starts
We keep coming back to these two hearts
Two angels who've been rescued from the fall

After all that we've been through
It all comes down to me and you
I guess it's meant to be
Forever you and me
After all
