Still rather caught up in the events of the summer to rightly get my mind on track for the here and now. You spend several weeks bashing about London with no rules, no supervision, then get back to school and...well

Dean mate,

You shouldn't brood on the Big Issues in life, you know, all that Where Are We Going and What Does It All Mean business, you're really not cut out for it. You should leave all that to me. :D Bashing about this summer has given me a new perspective on life anyway. I plan to enjoy the small things in life this term - writing my poetry, learning a few new spells, perhaps another shag with Millie if she's willing.

It's the little things that matter.

If the business of Big Issues were left to you they wouldn't get much attention, would they? And if I'm not cut out to brood on them, then why do I brood? I'm not exactly brooding against my will.

I enjoy the small things too, but I'm beginning to think that in the long run they make for a poor fuel source. Renewable, maybe, but not sustainable.

You brood because you're an artist, Thomas. You've always been moody. It's just not everyone understands your moods like I do, right?

Or maybe you're just moody cause nobody's commented on your new hair yet. I'm going down to the lake, want to come?

Loads of people have commented on my new hair--mostly because they had trouble seeing through it in class. And yes, lake would be fine... not for too long, though. I've got these broody moods to tend to, you see.
