Name of Series: All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder
Name of Character: To the writer, but Frank Miller's a character enough in his own right.
Warnings: A bit of unpleasentness towards the popular artist.
Summary: I know this isn't a new comic, but coming across it recently reminds me why I hate what Frank Miller's come to.
Dear Frank Miller,
I was never your biggest fan, but I respected you. Everyone loves The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One was good, Sin City was entertaining if you could overlook its politics and false claims to be noir.
But All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder...
The big question is, do you mean this seriously or is it a parody? If the former, you've finally lost it in a way even Alan Moore hasn't. If the latter, it's parody that verges on spitting on your fans.
Yes it's entertaining, in a 'no one give this writer any sharp objects' way. It's also badly written, morally ugly, and completely out of character for every single figure.
If this is meant straight, please get help. If it's meant as a parody, please start writing 'normal' stuff that's good enough for us to tell the difference.
Sincerely,
Mira
P.S. Just retitle the series "The Goddamn Batman" already. That's what we all call it anyway.
