Name of Series: Carnivale
Name of Character: Brother Justin
Warnings: Spoilers for both seasons
Summary: You do remember you have a sister, right?
Dear Brother Justin,
It seems that the final season brought some changes to your character. I was sad to see that you went from "tortured antihero" to "mentally and physically rapes every woman you come in contact with", but the change was plausible- you did finally accept that you were the personification of evil and darkness, so some changes are to be expected.
But one thing I just couldn't buy was the change between you and your sister.
Remember? Iris? Killed little kids for you, was baptized alongside you? The woman you had a whole season of sexual tension with, culminating in implied rape/rough sex after which she was still as devoted to you as ever?
Apparently not. Oh, you're still aware that she's alive, but your dynamic changed for no apparent reason. You shoved her to the side, ignored her in favor of some random criminal, and left her to plot against you. Excuse me, but what the hell happened? At the end of the first season, you two were ready to take over the world together!
And don't pretend it's because you're mad about the kids. It's possible that it still bothers you, but we already saw you two reconcile about it last season. And you can't have it both ways- I just don't buy that you'd judge her about that while you're forcing yourself on the maids and driving them insane.
I know there won't be another season, but try to keep this in mind just in case.
Your fan-from-a-distance,
Mira
