To various unnamed henchmen,
I realize that the job opportunities in Gotham City are limited, and that, in all likelihood, the system has left you with little choice but to stick with a life of crime and hope for the best.
But even then, you've got better options than working for the Joker. Didn't you hear about how he got his various henchmen to gun each other down once he was done with them with the promise of a larger share of the loot? They're all dead now. There are no benefits to the widows and orphans of criminals, in case you happened to be in the job to earn money for someone else.
Even if you're in the business just because you like killing people, that alone makes you qualified to be a henchmen/bodyguard to half the city's criminal element, most of which would treat you better than the Joker.
And you'd have better odds of being able to have an open-casket funeral.
