and then....it's one of the most difficoult to apply!
I know well that when you feel depressed, you slowly go down without taking care of yourself, increasing weight (well...at least I do!) and the worse you feel, the worse you look and when you see your image in the (damned) mirror, you worse even worse, so you look worse and worse...
this is a very difficoult chain to break....

I can attest to the fact that confidence is a powerful aphrodisiac. I find the biggest thing I can do to be noticed is to hold my head high, smile, and put that little shake in my walk and just assume that everyone likes what they see. This continues to work for me, even though I am not graceful (my footsetps sound like an elephant is tromping thru the house, lol), and even when I'm wearing the most unflattering baggy clothes, and have no makeup on whatsoever.
Even when you are depressed and lonely, just remember that it's human nature to second guess yourself. People are drawn to someone who seems comfortable whith who they are. Just smile and walk like the world is yours. Give it enough time, and you'll start to believe it.
