I like going commando, but it does suck if it's a 'wet' day and your lady juices get on your legs.

Commando can be very comfortable, but at least you don't have any bits and pieces that can easily get caught in a zipper.

I've had an incident or two myself. It's less than fun when it feels like your pants are trying to eat you.
