Melissa Tiss and Youko Cosplay Reviews (A Fanime Con Summary)

Since I didn't really get to experience the actual convention (due to multiple cosplay photo shoots) my Fanime summary will have to be about people met, the cosplays I wore, and what I plan to do with them after.

Though I will say that I have horrible plane luck when I travel with US airway. Due to some..unfortunate happenings, my one luggage

Yes, I think it was wisest to keep the flower pieces attached to the collar.

Also, your costume looks way better than that other lady's. (Although she did get in a hint of the white designs on the collar pieces.)

Youko?! Yay! You look great. I was going to ask if you had green eyes. Now you just need to get yourself a kirin.

Lol, yes. I would like to at least feign a bit of modesty at this particular cosplay....but for real, yeah.

YES!! I want a Kirin so badly!! (Must keep eyes out for extremely pale, tall, miserable looking guys. Poor Keiki. )I have a Rakushun though, so I'm thrilled at the idea of photos with my little hanju friend. :)

You may be horrified, but one of my friends wants to do Taiki...and if she does Taiki...I'mma gonna do Sanshi. Gotta figure out how to make a prop for the back legs though... (And I will have bodysuit. Heh...oooh....)

Hmm. I don't know what's weirder: a girl playing a boy/stag unicorn or a girl playing an albino-leopard-lizard. And I assume you'll be changing Sanshi's wardrobe a bit...?

Girls make better boys in cosplay; that is just an accepted practice. Well, Asian girls specifically. Take, for example, this nice Enki *female* cosplayer.

As for Sanshi...well, hah. I'd airbrush a full body suit to look like skin, but conveniently avoid making certain girly areas 'realistic'. I've been dying to airbrush a body suit since Franny sent me some amazing asian tutorials. I'd also try to have mermaid hair (hair that covers all).

I still can't believe the Melissa Tiss hair is a wig. Like, for serious, it looks like your actual hair. The Youko is looking awesome. Now you have me wanting to re-watch 12 Kingdoms to remember her exact outfit.

Yes, I had to find just the right way to pin up my hair to make the wig sit on my head right. Oi..trial and failor. But the wig is a lace front, which is made to look very natural. I actually did some homework for this one!

Yes! Re-watch! I just bought the entire JK set for $40 at a swap meet!! So happy! (Though the books are better...but I still like the anime.)

Lol, myeees; must keep eyes open for perfect Keiki. I'm such a closet serial 'napper. One of these days there is going to be a missing persons case for an extremely attractive, tall, chiseled asian dude. When that happens, do NOT look to me. ^^;;;;;
