This particular brunette teenager is hardly a stranger to all things weird and unexplainable - she does share Stephen King's dream home with four ghosts, after all - but this is different even by her standards. Going from her bedroom to a foreign place full of people is way beyond the typical definition of normal.
After a quick glance around, Kat decides to stay, grabbing herself a seat on one of the many chairs around the Nexus. She's sure that she'll be able to get home eventually, and she might as well enjoy time away from the more annoying members of her household. Besides, people watching is one heck of a guilty pleasure.
Eventually, she notices the sign with raised eyebrows. A question? If she needed a therapist, she'd go to her dad - even though he specialized in the realm of the dead these days. Still, she figures it couldn't hurt to get a thing or two off her chest. it was something she couldn't really talk to many people about back home.
"Say you have this friend," Kat says, leaning back carelessly, "who stayed behind a while ago when he was supposed to leave. He just wasn't ready to go yet, but now he's starting to think about it again. Say you happen to care about this friend, and you know that if he leaves, you'll never see him again. Not for a long time, at least."
She pauses, frowning slightly.
"You don't want this friend to leave, but at the same time, you know it's what's supposed to happen. If he asked you for your opinion - whether he should stay or go - and you knew what you said could possibly make the decision for him... what would you say?"
