“Uh... hi.”
Somehow, Cole managed to find his way into a part of the Nexus with nary a couch in sight, so he drags over a Convenient Nexus Stool instead. He’s young, barely out of his teens, and nervous, with hair that’s bordering on shaggy. He looks tired, and a little dazed, with the sense that though things are better now, not that long ago they most certainly were not.
“So I have this... friend. Legit, I have friends. More of a girlfriend, really. And, uh... well, I figured this is a sort of Nexus thing, and even though I usually don’t come here... she does, and I thought...”
“Sorry. Anyway, she... well, basically she died a few weeks ago and came back a week later. Not as a ghost or anything-” He grins a little. “-though she’d probably think that was cool. But we live in a world with metahumans, and one of our friends is a healer, and after she... died, we preserved the b-b- we preserved her, and he was able to bring her back. And understandably, she’s... shaken up by all this, a lot. But I guess she’s just so used to being evasive about her feelings, she doesn’t want to open up to anyone about what happened. Even to me.”
He looks down and starts wringing his hands, fiddling with the ring on his finger. “I don’t want to force anything, but... we need to talk, and it’s not happening. And I’m worried about her. So, uh... help?”
