I keep watching The Last Ship on the power on empty hopes that it will turn into a good show when it grows up, because the premise, oh the premise! It has a cool destroyer and an unfortunately-not-zombie apocalypse! ( It fails me )

little show that could(n't)

Hah. Weren't you aware that ALL RUSSIANS ARE EVOL?!

Although--there was the "cuckoo" game played during WWII, where (certain) groups would get really drunk, and then one of them would close their eyes, and take out a gun, and someone would say "cuckoo" and they'd try to shoot them (their own troop member). It worked for them because HI VODKA. Then then French tried playing it, but had to stop because they weren't drunk enough and wound up repeatedly shooting/killing their own.

Anyways, I can't say from your review that I'd be super excited about watching it. I'm working my way through white collar right now (even though I should 100% be working on my SMPC for next week...)

It's the Evol Empire of Endless Evol! Even when 90% of its population dies, it proudly carried on the evol.

Oh holy shit, whut. Okay, maybe I shouldn't be laughing but I am! :D Poor French!

What's SMPC? And how is White Collar working out for you? I hope it's not as weird as The Last Ship.

Hahah. Well let's not forget that it was clearly the Russians Americans who won WWII... they will continue to be evol forever and ever just because we're jealous that Russia is bigger than the U.S Size totally matters.

I laughed for quite some time when I learned that in one of my WWII classes :D

what's smpc *gasps*. Sunday Morning Porn Club of COURSE! For all of your j2 or Sam/Dean porn needs brought to you by your shameless team of writers pornographers every Sunday morning. Every Sunday.
And I'm up this upcoming week :)

Oddly enough, it is always about size and WWII. Too bad the Chinese don't have a destroyer to dilute the WWII angst with their own brand of evol.

I'm jealous of your WWII classes :D

Oh my god, fandom is awesome. Never heard of this comm but of course it exists, of course.

Gotta give credit where it's due: he's really good at it.

Yes. I cannot wait (please note the sarcasm) to see how he ruins yet another childhood love of mine, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But I want it to be good so badly! And now that I'm three episodes in, I want to see how much more weird it can get.

>>Why, Michael Bay, whyyyy? <<

and here i'm wondering why, tiger, whyyyy? i can feel your brain cells dying from way over here!

altho i have to admit, reading your review is entertaining. at least the russian is occasionally accurate....

(i didn't want to butt into the white collar thread because as much as i like the show, it has a tendency to repeat itself and i haven't had the patience for the past couple seasons' plot arcs. there was a whole season about stolen nazi art - like, art that the nazis had stolen - that was kind of stupid and really badly done. but everyone and everything in it is SO PRETTY. seriously, the sky is always blue and the characters are always impeccably dressed and disgustingly attractive and the building interiors are always stunning and and it just looks consistently fabulous.)
