I'm long overdue for some Arashi translations! Here's one about Ohno's thoughts on the Kaibutsu-kun movie, how he'd spoil the other members, and Ohno+Nino making bouquets.

You can find full scans here. I only included small images from the Gekkan Arashi (Monthly Arashi) portion so that the translations would make sense in context.

Thank you aeslis for helping me out when I got stuck. ♥♥♥

It still feels like Kaibutsu-kun is always by my side.

Q. "Kaibutsu-kun the Movie": shot on location in India, shown in 3D, and packed full of themes. What are the prince's thoughts having seen the finished product?

A. First, I realized the amazingness of everyone on the staff. At the same time I felt grateful. "Kaibutsu-kun" uses CG, and this time there's also a 3D version, so there were a lot of scenes I didn't know how they would look when we were filming, so I was like "So this is how it turned out!!" I realized once again that "Kaibutsu-kun the Movie" took the skill and power of many people~.

Q. The "Flying Dragon" that makes its first appearance in the movie version was one of our favorites.

A. It's biig, and it has a cute face~. The real thing was on display during the press conference, how was it for those of you who saw it in person? The amazing thing about the dragon was, I was most moved by its eyes. The person who made Kaibutsu-kun's ears and special make up carefully created them, and they're amazing. Just making an eyeball requires colors to be overlayed many times, and the pupils have depth and beauty!

Q. The series began in the spring of 2010. You've been with Kaibutsu-kun for a long time.

A. It feels like Kaibutsu-kun has been by my side ever since the drama started. Even now he's still by my side, so it's hard to imagine that we separated.

Q. They've even designed a plane with Kaibutsu-kun on it, the "Kaibutsu-kun JET"!

A. I feel kind of bad (lol). I wonder if my mom knows about the Kaibutsu-kun JET? It's turned into something so amazing it doesn't feel real.

Next year, I'm going to work hard on my creative activities! I need to finish the drawing I've been working on since March!

Q. Even regarding their 10th anniversary, the great achievement of holding a concert at Kokuritsu Stadium, and the size of Arashi's presence, all Ohno can answer with is "It doesn't feel real."

A. Even the decal on the plane doesn't seem real. Looking at it as the person in the picture, I think "That's me!?" like I'm some other person. It's a strange feeling~. Its like looking in a mirror so long that you're not sure who you are anymore. I guess that's why... I need "me time" where I have fun fishing, drawing, or zoning out at home after work.

Q. Unlike the Kaibutsu Prince, Ohno doesn't say selfish things, but if you could ask for something selfish right now what would it be?

A. I'd like to go somewhere far away and look at some unusual scenery that I've never seen before~. If there was an ocean nearby and I could go fishing too that would be the best!

Q. You'll be having your birthday on the day the film comes out, 11/26 (Sat). Please tell us about your ambition for next year.

A. When I'm around 50 years old, I'd like to be able to be doing a good balance of all the things I like to my heart's content. So right now, for the future, I think I need to still work hard on a lot of things! I'm also continuing to draw. I started to draw a picture of a child on a pretty big canvas in March of this year. But it surprisingly hasn't really gone anywhere (lol). I'd like to finish it around the spring of next year. After I finish the picture, I plan to start on a 3D object. In '12 I'd like to make a conscious effort to make lots of things! Next year, I'd like to continue to do my best at work while also putting effort into my creative activities.

If he could grant the selfish wishes!? of the members...

For Matsujun:

If MatsuJun gets so tired he feels like "I can't take it anymore~," I'll stand in his place in the play. Ah, but it would be rough learning the lines, so I'll just do the boxing scenes. I saw the boxing scenes in "Aa, Kouya" and they were amazing. Those scenes seem really tiring!

For Nino:

Nino is always playing games by himself, right? I'll become your opponent once in a while! You probably want to play with someone else sometimes, right? Ah! I'll even become Mario for you (lol). I'm already used to special makeup. If the Mario CMs get tough, let me know okay? ♪

For Aiba-chan:

Aiba-chan, nice work on the "World Gymnastics" narration. You've been so busy you haven't been able to play golf at all right? Alright, I'll take you golfing. I'll be your caddy! (lol) I'll take Aiba-chan out to have fun!!

For Sho-kun:

For Sho-kun, I'll do everything. Right now it seems like you're having the toughest time! I watched the drama, and there are a lot of lines. I'll even do the news and anything else. I don't think I'll be helpful at all though (lol). I'm not responsible, but I'll at least do it.

Montly Arashi #103: Ohno Satoshi & Ninomiya Kazunari
Celebrating Ohno's birthday with flowers!?
They even made wreathes and bouquets!
Flower Arrangement

For the first flower corner in the history of Montly Arashi, the "Ohmiya Combination," who hadn't appeared in two years and eight months, gave it a try. Ninomiya celebrated Ohno's birthday with a hand made bouquet!

"For Ohno-san's birthday, I did my best at making a bouquet!"
"Nino, thank you for the bouquet. This is the second surprise!"

Balance is life!
"The art is an explosion!?"

"Ninomiya gave Ohno a bouquet!"

Which ones will they use!?

They'll attempt an arrangement using roses and Chinese bellflowers. Ohno is arranging in a pot, Ninomiya is making a bouquet. As Ohno looks at the roses, Ninomiya affects a pro attitude, saying "That's what an amateur would use."

Bam!
Right away Ohno's eyes went to this flower called the king protea. He places it in the center of the flower pot.

Ohno is totally absorbed in this leaf called a dracaena. Taking the instructor's advice, he uses the pro technique of stapling the flower to change its shape! Just what you'd expect from an artist.

It was fine to place the large flower in the center, but now Ohno has completely stopped moving. Staring at the flower, he went into a daze for a bit...

"I'll use this!"
For some reason Ninomiya took on the role of a pro from start to finish. For the bouquet he will give to Ohno, he first choses an unusual leaf.

With narrow, small flowers in the center, he boldly inserts the leaves on each side. As the centerpiece of his bouquet, he adds purple lisianthus.

"It's perfect!"
Hanging eucalyptus and habenaria as a decoration, he finishes the bouquet. He gazes at it for a moment in satisfaction.

Ohno cracks up at the leaves sticking way out. He doesn't know there's actually a de~ep meaning in these leaves...

"It's amaziiing."
Ohno looking closely at the pieces made by the instructor. (A pro's work is different, after all).

On the bottom, he adds small cute flowers called blue stars.

By Ohno.
He created a very individualistic piece. "It's a strong piece with a feeling of ascention," said the instructor, giving his seal of approval!

The Kaibutsu-kun themed bouquet is finished!
We photographed each piece! At this point he still doesn't know Ninomiya's bouquet is for his birthday...

"It's a balance!"
Still embarassed by the teacher's high praise, Ohno explains his piece. "The flowers need balance. Between the tall and short ones."

"Satoshi, Happy Birthday!"
When it was revealed that Ninomiya's piece was actually made to celebrate Ohno's birthday, Ohno was shocked. And when he heard the theme held in the flowers, he was moved!

"Use this!"
Wreath Making
Next up they collaborated on a wreath. As Ohno silently arranged red spray roses, Ninomiya got in the way...!?

After covering the entire thing in roses, Ninomiya gathered the twigs and leaves they were going to throw away and began to decorate the outer edges with them. Even the teacher praised that thinking.

The two become silently immersed in their work. They work together perfectly.

Lastly, Ohno places the leftover rose stems.

After finishing their work, for some reason the two stare at each other (lol). They were sending each other the signal that the piece was done.

Ohno is moved by the heartfelt bouquet!
N: Well, Satoshi's birthday was coming up, so I thought of you as I made it. The theme of my piece is "Kaibutsu-kun."
O: Ah! Is that so?
N: That's right. The dangling leaves depict the ruin of Kaibutsu-land and the connection to the human world. This piece shows two sides of Kaibutsu-kun and the human world.
O: Whoaa...(admiration). What are these leaves sticking straight out?
N: Matsuoka (Masahiro)-kun's sword.
O: Aaah (lol). Demokin's (Then Ninomiya presents it to Ohno.)
N: It suits you! (claps)
O: Thank you~!! You really thought this out. You even used seasonal colors. It really is amazing.
N: The purple flowers are also an expression of something a little different from passion in the Kaibutsu world.
O: I'm seriously happy!
N: There are flowers in Ohno-san's arrangement too! What was the theme?
O: I focused on the hues. My eyes went to an unusual flower, so I used one of those as the central point and made it even more flashy with rainbow colored roses, and arranged it fashionably.
N: I see. That's good!
O: I made the part at the base a little bit sweet. Then as I moved up from there, it became full of life. (The guiding teacher gives words of praise, saying Ohno-san's arrangement is in the French style.)
N: Oh yes, I see it. It's the French style, that's what I wanted to say (triumphant expression). I could feel France.
O: Nino, you know, the leftover twigs and flowers that Nino cut for the candle wreath that you reused, that's trendy.
N: I did. I used the trends of the flower world (lying). What was it our teacher said about trends, "Deconstruction and regeneration"?
O: You knew that? (lol)
N: The real question is not if I knew it, but who was it that originally started that trend. Ah, if I go that far I guess I'll look bad (lol).
O: They said it's been a long time since Nino and I got together for Monthly Arashi. Since the second time we made bread.
N: And it just happened to be in time to celebrate Satoshi's birthday.
O: Nino also surprised me with a celebration during the barbeque one (November '07 issue). I still remember!
N: Oh...really? (blush) Well, happy birthday.
O: Thank you♪
N: Starting on the day after your birthday, November 27th, I start concentrating on your next birthday. That's how much I think about Satoshi.
O: Which I guess means you're thinking about me every day. I guess you're holding back those feelings at work. (Note: He doesn't seem to be holding back anything.)
N: (Softly smiling)
O: It must be hard, holding back.
N: Yeah....well, you know.
O: I know. I understand.
N: Yeah, thanks.
O: I felt the love in the bouquet you made for me today. You carefully used the "Kaibutsu-kun" theme.
N: Of course. (They shyly continue the conversation...)

This month's Monthly Arashi Story!
The phrase "Deconstruction and regeneration" is apparently a Autumn-Winter trend in the flower design world. Even if it was by coincidence!? Ninomiya's good taste to use the leftover twigs and leaves to decorate the wreath fit right with the trend, and the instructor and the staff were surprised. Maybe because he was happy, Ninomiya gave a de~ep comment, "Deconstruction and regeneration...flowers are like life." (lol)

This Month's Close Talk
The theme is: Birthday Memories
(from Yukarin-san)

"Nino sends me texts full of heart emoji."

"I was happy when Nishikido gave me a surprise birthday celebration!"

Good work!

Thank you.

What's a happy birthday memory you have?
N: For me, I was happy when Nishikido (Ryo) gave me a surprise birthday celebration.
O: Ah, so something like that happened~
N: Yeah. We were eating out together, but Nishikido had collaborated with the restaurant staff to prepare a surprise.
O: That would make me happy.
N: Right! All of a sudden they brought out a cake, I was so happy. Ohno-san, you have lots of good memories right?
O: That's right. I'm happy that Nino celebrated my birthday twice during Monthly Arashi. And every year, Nino always sends me texts on my birthday. You send me texts with lots of heart emoji.
N: No no. The way Ohno-san celebrates is amazing.
O: I have a lot of memories of my 20th birthday.
N: What kind of birthday was it?
O: My family and people from my Dad's company all got together.
N: At Ohno-san's house?
O: Yeah! I got a bicycle as a present.
N: It's nice to have a birthday at home like that.
O: On my birthday this year..... I'll be working.
N: No question. "Kaibutsu-kun The Movie" will be coming out.
O: It's been a year since "Kaibutsu-kun" began. I think it'll be an unforgetable day.
N: No question, it'll be a good birthday. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to be with you that day, but everyone will be celebrating for you at the movie theaters! For Ohno-san, I'll always be in "second place."
O: That's not true~
N: It's okay. I'll show restraint, when I want your attention I'll get it. (lol)
