Double translation post! I had this one done ages ago, but I wanted to keep them in chronological order so I saved it for a while.

I don't really have one, but like pansys a lot (lol). Now I don't really know what kind of flower it is anymore, when I was in elementary school I really liked pansys. In elementary school you're all into picture books, right? Looking at plants and stuff, I don't think there's any other flower that resembles it's name so much. Back in the day, Seiko-chan sang a song called "Akai Sweet Pea" (Red Sweet Pea)[8], right........and? (lol)
1 - A play on words betweeen "konbanwa" (good evening) and "one two."
2 - This really is an award ^^; Well, there are several different awards of this type, mostly announced through website (meaning it's not an actual trophy) such as "Most Popular T-shirt Slogan" or "Most Popular Internet Words." If you're interested, 2004's results are here (Yoko and Hina didn't win XD)
3 - Oshiruko = a red-bean soup.
4 - A really famous tournament for high school baseball.
5 - Kao ga koi is really difficult to translate. As a Japanese friend described it, it refers to people with "western looking" features, as opposed to the typical "flat" looking Asian face.
6 - On page 66, he's talking about doing a play and going to college so I'm not sure why he's out of breath. In the pictures HaseJun, Toma, Jimmy, and Kazama are kind of wrestling around, so maybe that's why.
7 - The correct name is Cymbidium aka boat orchid.
8 - Nagase is referring to 80's super idol Matsuda Seiko's hit song Akai Sweet Pea.
