Joseph Joubert is a king among men. I cannot believe that, until now, I have lived my life oblivious of his notebooks... That sounds like such an overstatement, but I absolutely loved the excerpts of his which have been published in our textbook. So, I thought for this week's entry, I would answer Question 2 pertaining to Joubert.

I know what you mean - I take a lot of time to think about what I'm writing in emails and in comments before sending them, often with a lot of revision involved. But I get sick of it sometimes - having to manage what image of myself I'm presenting, organising the knowledge I have of the other person to figure out what they'll focus on and what they will get from what I've said, as opposed to what I meant. And then I always end up reading back what I've written after it's been sent and thinking I got it all wrong in the end anyway
