You aren't familiar with telephones? I'm not actually in here, but it's a communication device. So you can communicate with people around the neighborhoods.

Well, everyone that's here apparently. I wouldn't say you can talk to just anyone. But you can get in contact with those in this neighborhood, which is helpful.

That still sounds cool! I wonder if my dad's here? Then I could use this to talk to him too!

He might. It seems like this place kind of takes people by random, so it's hard to tell.

So it doesn't choose who it kidnaps? That's kinda weird. What if it kidnaps the hero by accident?

Well it either does, or just likes plucking random people from here and there.

I'm pretty sure it has ways to make it so the hero...can't do hero things.

You mean...they can't use magic or fight bad guys or save the day or anything??

That's right. They can't. I don't know how they did it, but people with special powers don't seem to really have them here? I'm not sure if we can get them back if that's the case.

That's not good...it must be hard for everyone to lose their powers like that.

I'm sure they do that to make it hard for them. A rather cruel sense of humour.

...Well...I bet my dad could help somehow! He'd make everything better, like he always does.

I bet he could. Maybe he'll appear here and do that.

He will, I know it! Even if it takes forever.

I'm sure if he knew, he would come sooner. But I don't think we get to decide when other people come.

...That's alright! I'm used to waiting. Even if I'm waiting in a different place now, I know he'll show up sooner or later.
