[Oh, someone is looking. HE KNOWS THAT FEELING. His wings ruffle once and he turns with a smile to the window.]

[She's been caught! Oh no! Yonah smiles back at him.]

Oh, I was just looking at your wings. I never saw anybody with wings before, you know.

I suppose it is rather rare, isn't it? They are just wings, however. Nothing exceedingly special.

Is it? I thought only birds had wings, so it's really special to me.

[You're in luck, dear daughter. Today was the day daddy drank the normal milk. He's also been busy with trying to figure this place out to actively look for his not!daughter right after he got here. In fact he only met her drone for the first time a few weeks ago.]

Huh? So...you're back to normal now? Seeing as how you're finally questioning the milk, I mean.

Um, I guess I am. I don't remember being not normal though...

[She blinks up at this strange person curiously.] Who're you?

You've been kinda out of it since I got here. I was startin' to think that my new wife and the boy were the only other people in the house until ya came home a few days later sayin' you spent a couple days at a friend's house.

I'm your new father. I'm Felix Wal--....actually you know what forget that since we're gonna be playin' family for awhile I might as well allow you to call me Claire.

You're my new fake dad? [The idea of fake dads still doesn't sit very well with her, as may be evidenced by the little frown on her face, but at least a real person is better than a super fake one.]

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing too. But drinking it or not seems to be ending up in equal bad effects either way from the looks of things. But I do hope the worst of things will end too, but I think that's because as long as the Milkman is around as the person who enforces that law, it won't be ending soon.

Still, between being like a puppet or drinking something that hurts inside, it's kind of hard to think which one is the better choice at times. But I like your optimism! It's hard to see people that still has that nowadays here.

The Milkman sounds like a horrible person if he makes us do things like this. But you've gotta have optimism! Especially if things are bad. If you're sad forever that'll just make people worry. That's why I always send my dad happy letters, instead of ones that'll make him worry.

You're right, and it's just up to people like us to remind people that there's always a better result waiting for us after the end of it all! By the end of these ordeals, we'll become a little stronger and a little wiser to expect what might happen again if it happens again. We just gotta hold our heads high and keep a smile on our faces to go through another day!
