Oh, it just really is so wonderful! I like that they're just feeling each other out, taking it slow...that's exactly what Jeff and Annie should do. And if they don't, I'm rejecting NBC's canon and substituting this story.

My favorite is the "'You don’t fool me.'/'Yeah, I know,' he says quietly." scene. I could picture it perfectly, right down to Jeff twirling his glasses.
However, I'm also a huge fan of the pottery class part. I actually did LOL.

Oh thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the scene with them on the lounge chairs. I sort of built the entire fic around my idea for that scene. It was my favorite to write.

Um, so, I literally NEVER read this before today. And I'm trying to figure out how that could even possibly HAPPEN, but I'm also very distracted by all that imagery of sleepy!Jeff in the coffee shop, with the flip flops and the yawning and it is DOING THINGS TO ME, that image, and how totally perfectly specific and detailed it is.

This whole thing is pretty much perfectly specific and detailed, in fragmented pieces though it is.

. . . seriously, how did I never read this? I don't even care. I had a wholly awful night at work and I needed something non-awful and this is SO WONDERFUL, so THANK YOU. Very belated, very much, THANK YOU.
