OH HAI THERE AND THANKS FOR MAKING MY DAY SPECTACULAR. I love that - in my head - I'm reading this and thinking "Hmm, new update. Should I ration this or tear into it like a Christmas present?" Obviously, I went for the present option. ;)

This chapter did not disappoint me in the least. It was so chock full of wonderful moments, that I'll start by quoting them:

“Why would she hide a boyfriend from us?”

“Oh, I don’t know. We normally handle that kind of stuff sooooo well.”

This is SO TRUE. They really do handle discussions of relationships awfully.

*giggles at Annie seeing Jeff in his underwear and the awkwardness that ensues*

Alan really really irks me in your fic. And you know what - that's perfect. Because that means you wrote him as the skeevy, awful person that we all know he is, lol.

The sheets are tangled around her legs and she kicks at them in frustration as she flails her arm out to the side to reach for her cell phone to check the time again. If she falls asleep right now she can get five and a half hours of sleep

Yeah, I do this all the time, and you're right because it's just stresses me out more watching the time tick by and realizing that I'm going to get less and less sleep.

His smile really does reach the corners of his eyes and just crinkle there and it's adorable and I love it.

Yup. My favorite thing about his face is the crinkly wrinkles at his eyes and if he were to ever Botox them away I would seriously cry.

And I love Britta too! She's so much fun to write and Jeff/Britta scenes are fun to write because they do play off each other really well and they're so antagonist - I like writing them both really snarky.

I didn't get to flail properly over the first chapter so I'm going to flail like a crazy person over this one.

OMG JEFF/ANNIE FIC!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S WRITTEN BY YOU!!!!!!!! AND I ACTUALLY HAVE JUST ENOUGH TIME TO READ IT!!!!! \0/ :D :D :D

GAHHHHHH!!!!!! Seriously I love your writing and you totally nail the characters and their dynamics and you do subtlety so freaking well and I pretty much spazz out when I see you post something. XD And I sooooooo can't wait to read what's coming next in this piece. I'm pretty sure this fic and the decade's worth of Buffy/Spike fic I'm currently working my way through are the only things keeping me sane during my crazy busy RL :P

And this Jeff/Annie fic is a heck of a lot more cheerful and less angsty (and a million times better written!) than all that B/S spike LOL
