I suppose, that would be the kind of rule passed by one of those neighborhood associations - the ones that send you threatening letters for leaving your garbage cans out front for more than an hour.

apparently that is why you never see it. Its not technically illegal everywhere in the US of course, just a lot of places. Many that don't have the law will harass you with police until you take it down, which is essentially the same anyhow. Its been making a bit of a stink lately with the whole 'electric dryers use up a shitload of energy' thing.

i just saw a news story on this.. and also one on how this guys getting sued for building a treehouse for his kids thats visible from the street in a rich neighborhood and people are flabbergasted about what an eyesore this [actually beautiful mini mansion] is to the neighbors. screw people.
