So, yesterday was a good day, except that the Hungarian Goulash Neil and I were making nearly had a piece of a Hungarian in its ingredients

OH MY GOD! Are you okay now? Hospital? Need care package? What... how... I'll fly down if you want me to. Seriously.
I'm so sorry about missing you on your drive. That's actually what I was thinking of commenting about when I STARTED to read your entry. But... Seriously, update your status!
I'm really doing okay. There isn't much of anything a doctor or hospital could do for me - there's nothing that can actually be stitched up. I promise to see one if there are any signs of infection. An EMT friend of mine lives next door, so I can also bug him about it if I think there's reason to worry.
We should definitely find a chance to chat sometime soon.
I've been in transition for the most part. I decided back in September or so that I would start seminary again in the spring semester, and it's been a long process of waiting for the rest of my life to catch up with that decision.
First came the move and the insanity around that process. Now I'm waiting for my job to be over on Friday. Then I'll wait for classes to begin the first week of February. The closer I get to being in a position of actually working toward my ultimate goal of doing something rewarding, the better I generally feel, and I take that as a good sign.
In other areas, I've been keeping busy. I've been dating Neil for nearly a year and a half. We just moved into a duplex together two weeks ago. I'm involved with both the choir and young adult group at church. I've joined the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra and still play in a band.
Generally, I think things are on the up and up, per se.
I'm so glad to know that things are up and that you are back to pursuing your life goals! I would love to hear more about Neil some time. How is Audrey doing? I still haven't met a cat as adorable (or needy) as her.
I've been doing well overall. I've had a job as a web developer since February, and I'm enjoying it a lot! I feel so lucky to have a job when so many of my friends have either been looking for work for months and months, or else are being laid off. I feel doubly lucky that I have a job I like so much!
Not much interesting news in my personal life. I see Grinnell people on a weekly basis at SNDC, which makes it easier to feel connected to our alumni community. I haven't done any dating for a long time, but maybe this year I'll make it more of a priority. I've been so busy with career stuff for a long time now that I haven't been willing to devote time or energy to dating. I will still be busy with career stuff this year, as well as creative expression, one of my goals for this year, and cooking and exercise, yet other
